Australia's subsurface secrets are being revealed in breathtaking detail after the launch of an all-new business division, MNG Locate'.
Based at the Jandakot office, MNG Locate complements MNG's existing surveying services by meeting overwhelming market demand for comprehensive subsurface utility locating and modelling.
The ethos is simple " empower our clients by providing the accurate data they need to make informed project decisions. To deliver on this promise, MNG Locate uses experienced field technicians and state-of-the-art technology that helps you see the solution upfront, saving time and costly budget blowouts.
High-end dual frequency ground penetrating radars and electromagnetic induction pinpoint conductive as well as non-conductive subsurface utilities in a safe and timely manner. Then using advanced, highly accurate spatial information modelling, the data is used to create detailed maps that allow developers to progress their projects with confidence.
MNG CEO Scott Anderson said innovating a solution internally made sense.
"We were outsourcing this service in the past and found it was leading to lost projects and revenue," said Mr Anderson. "So we researched the market and realised there was an exciting opportunity for MNG to stamp our own brand, integrity and innovation to deliver a solution that finally meets clients' expectations for safe and accurate subsurface location."
A critical piece of the puzzle was assembling an experienced team led by Zac Buma, who brings significant skills in subsurface utility marketing and management.
"My focus is on delivering results through excellence in our workmanship," said Mr Buma. "It starts with understanding client needs and then presenting a cost effective solution.
"Our technicians are highly experienced, having previously completed work for Water Corporation and Western Power, as well as on big projects like Optus Stadium and Matagarup Bridge. By arming them with the most advanced technology for all electromagnetic subsurface investigations including an intelligent trenchless excavation system, our team has the tools and insights to get the right results, safely.
"We are proud to have started a team here at MNG where the future of locating is sure to shift as technology allows " and we aim to be on the forefront of that change."
