MNG recognises the next generation

MNG are proud to be affiliated with the Discipline of Spatial Sciences and the School of Earth and Planetary Sciences at Curtin University, W.A.

As part of our ongoing support to Curtin University, MNG's Director Steve Maughan was pleased to present the following student awards in mid-May:

The MNG Surveying Bursary 2018: awarded to Riley Pilcher

  • Outstanding full time third year student in the Bachelor of Surveying program

The MNG Women in Surveying scholarship 2018: awarded to Jasmine Ross

  • Outstanding full time female student within the Bachelor of Surveying program

This is the first year the Women in Surveying scholarship has been on offer. Jasmine, being the first recipient of this new award, will receive practical experience, mentorship along with financial support from MNG.

Special congratulations must go out to MNGs Articled Surveyor Matt Jilley for taking out three awards:

  • The Lawry White Medallion - Dux of the Bachelor of Surveying Program
  • The John Forrest Prize (donated by SSSI, WA) - Dux of the Bachelor of Surveying Program
  • Cottage & Engineering Survey Prize - best overall student within Precise Engineering and Deformation Survey Unit.

Also congratulations to MNG's Survey Assistant Riley Pilcher for taking out the following award in addition to the Bursary.

  • Veris Surveying Student - best third year student in the Bachelor program
