Quiz Night Leads to top Tally for Charity Donations
22nd July 2015
MNG has topped its 2014 charity donation tally taken at the annual Urban Development Industry of Australia (UDIA) Quiz Night with $1770 raised, beating the previous year by $250.
Since 2014, MNG has sponsored the Quiz Night, held this year at Crown Perth on 2 July, and produced a $10 charity money form distributed to all participants. On the form one of three MNG charities – Variety Club of WA, Cancer Council of WA and Princess Margaret Hospital – can be chosen.
From every form collected, MNG tallies the results and donates $10 to the form’s specified charity. The overall sum is then split according to the participant selections. This year $840 is going to the WA Cancer Council, $710 to Princess Margaret Hospital and $220 to the Variety Club of WA.
Peoples Services Manager, Rhonda McFadden, said the amount raised was an amazing result and indicated that the donation form was well received at the event.
"MNG employees are proud of the ongoing fund raising efforts and the UDIA Quiz Night is a testament to MNG’s commitment to support our community," she said.
This year’s MNG’s table of ten put on another brilliant display of knowledge and wit but were unfortunately unable to maintain their bragging rights from the 2014 win. In a very tight point’s difference, the team came in a narrow fourth.
Congratulations to those who made it on the night and for making it another successful UDIA-MNG partnership.
