MNG Continues to Provide Support to the Cancer Council WA and Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation
3rd February 2016
MNG's support for its valued charities was once again demonstrated through the Annual Festive Charity Morning Tea held on the 11 December 2015. At the morning tea, MNG CEO, Scott Anderson, presented Carol Wallbank from PMH and Hannah Pearce from Cancer Council WA with a corporate donation of $10,000 each.
For the morning tea MNG Employees volunteered to make various goodies that gave rise to the opportunity to win a door prise. A gold coin donation to sample the variety of offerings was also matched dollar for dollar by MNG with all proceeds going to those charities.
Scott said, "it is important for MNG to support our community, with the work done by both the PMH foundation and Cancer Council being invaluable to the lives of so many. No doubt a key factor in the nomination of both these charities by our employees. I am proud that MNG employees personally raise money by participating in events throughout the year, in addition to supporting our company fund raisers such as today".
Over the past three years MNG has contributed $80,000 in corporate donations, with the company also participating in a workplace giving program as well as other fund raising opportunities throughout the year.
This year MNG employees again participated in the PMH Wishing Tree initiative to support children in need at Christmas time. Those who wished to contribute placed a gift under our Christmas Tree for delivery to Princess Margaret Hospital.
