MNG in the Mood for Giving

8th February 2017

At MNG, we like to think of ourselves as 'givers'. On site and in the office, we give our all to achieve great things. But we also love nothing more than giving back to the community.

No wonder then that we're proud supporters of two chosen charities; the Cancer Council of WA and the Perth Children's Hospital Foundation (previously known as the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation). It's been an extremely fruitful initiative to date, with over $100,000 raised through corporate donations, workplace giving and charity fundraisers since 2013.

Our trademark community spirit has been in full flight recently, with the company and staff digging deep in a series of fundraising events.

The annual Charity Morning Tea will go down as one of our most memorable (and not just for the delectable spread). We were ecstatic to welcome representatives from both charities, who were each presented with a donation of $7,500 by Stuart Torode, General Manager, West Coast Operations.

The office came alive for Crazy Shirt Day, as staff whipped out their loudest, most fashionably offensive shirts. Thankfully it was all worth it, with a total of $530.30 raised in support of The Cancer Council, which MNG matched dollar for dollar.

Meanwhile The Biggest Morning Tea was a hit, while Radio Lollipop provided much-needed support for children at Princess Margaret Hospital.

All up in 2016, MNG employees alone raised a grand total of $3,846.40 for Perth Children's Hospital Foundation and $4,692.00 for the Cancer Council of WA, through both donations and MNG's Workplace Giving Program.

That's a lot of generosity (and we've got a lot more to give!) We look forward to playing our part for the community in the years to come.
